Child and Family Agency's Outpatient Clinics provide diagnostic and counseling services to children and adults who are experiencing emotional and/or behavioral difficulties. Masters' level trained clinicians provide counseling to address issues including family stress and conflict, child and adolescent behavioral problems, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger problems, adjustment to life stressors, trauma, peer problems and other behavioral health difficulties. Walk in hours for intake available at every site (Westbrook, New London, Groton, and Pawcatuck).
Specialties include: Trauma-focused CBT, MATCH, Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC), Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Groups offered include: DBT Skills, Healthy Relationships, CBITS, and LGBTQ+ for adolescents, along with Bounce Back for elementary age children.
We also offer in-home services using evidenced-based practices including Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT), Healthy Futures and Child First at 860-437-4550.
