I am trained in play therapy and trauma-based treatments (EMDR and ART). I also specialize in helping children, teens and adults with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss. I help neurodiverse individuals and their parents (ADHD, Autism, etc.) increase self-advocacy and decrease shame. After a big life change (moving, death of family members, family transitions), sometimes you just need someone to help you through it. I worked in hospice care for over a decade and have extensive experience in helping those who are grieving.
My approach is person-centered and trauma-focused and I want to see life improve for you. As a physical therapist, I also can offer compassion and insight into physical and emotional suffering. chronic illness, somatic-related ailments. Attachment issues, learning challenges, sensory processing disorder and parenting struggles are all areas of interest.
Although mental health can take time to heal, I also believe that life can and should improve in the short term. I love to provide a place where you can be honest and we can work together to help you (and your children/teens) feel better about life.
