About
I work in partnership with my clients to explore their concerns, build and strengthen ways of coping, and create positive changes. We all face challenges, transitions, changes, and growth and these can be exciting as well as emotionally difficult, intimidating or overwhelming. Feeling sad, worried, angry, or confused may be part of the process. Your desire may be for a closer, stronger relationship, to restore and rebuild your marriage or family, or for help navigating a difficult crisis or transition. I offer support, experiential interactions, and opportunity to learn skills that will help you accomplish your goals.
When I work with you as an individual, a couple, or a family, each person's current relationships and family of origin are taken into account. The interventions which I suggest and the changes you make will affect all your connected relationships, so careful consideration is made to ensure good benefit.
Having worked cross-culturally for years, I maintain awareness of how my values and cultural background influence my perspective of individuals and family functioning. I encourage clients to clarify and apply their values to their life concerns, keeping a respect for clients' spiritual concerns and the resources available through their faith practices.
