My passion is working with children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, neuroimmune disorders, and sensory processing disorders within the field of Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy and Animal-Assisted Therapy. I have 15 years of experience working with children and their families offering collaborative therapy. In conjunction to equine-facilitated psychotherapy, I work from an attachment-based model, blended with polyvagal theory, creative expressive art, and sensory integration therapy. Within my practice I focus on not only working with the child, but also their family to cultivate growth, change, and well-being.
Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy is a form of experiential psychotherapy integrating horses within a safe, connected, in-the-moment, and non-judgmental space. This form of therapy can be a wonderful alternative to office-based therapy and can offer deep growth and healing. I offer Equine-Facilitated Psychotherapy in both Gilroy and Pleasanton, CA.
I also conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children, teens, and adults looking to explore concerns about autism, ADHD, mood disorders, and learning disabilities. l have a compassionate, hands-on approach; and my emphasis is on understanding and finding solutions to support your child than applying labels. This service is offered in Fremont.
