I facilitate the client in the discovery of their own personal resolutions. My style of counseling is focused on self-exploration and increasing an individual's level of understanding surrounding their current life circumstances, and their own behaviors and reactions to those situations. I have a desire to understand each client, and utilize my therapeutic skills and knowledge of psychology and human behavior to facilitate growth. My philosophy is that a client is much more inclined to make possible their own solutions, if they are responsible for creating them. I am licensed in Washington, Oregon and Texas.
I have extensive training and skills working trauma survivors, including early attachment trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, Dissociation, DID, anxiety, depression, as well as with narcissistic abuse survivors and adult children of narcissist or alcohol abuse. I accommodate any religious background as well as atheist, agnostic, and non-religious clients.
Emdria Certified EMDR Therapist & Approved Consultant. My approach is tailored to fit individual needs. I utilize DBR (Deep Brain Reorienting Therapy), EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Ego State Therapy, Clinical Hypnosis & Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Concepts from other theoretical perspectives are integrated as appropriate.
