I have seen firsthand the extreme amount of suffering and the emotional toll that eating disorders cause. If you or your loved one struggle with an eating disorder, body image concerns, disordered eating, body dysmorphia or anxiety related to eating or your body, I can help. Recovery is possible. I have trained at world-renowned eating disorder clinics and use the most up to date and empirically supported treatments for eating disorders. We can work together, at your pace, to help you gain control of your life.

I am trained in cognitive behavioral therapies, dialectical behavior therapy, family based therapy for adolescents with anorexia nervosa, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness therapies for eating disorders. I am also an Assistant Professor at the University of Louisville.

Please reach out for help. I am currently accepting new patients with no waiting list. Visit me at BewellProviders.com or LouisvilleOCDClinic.com. I am not in-network with insurance, but you may be able to get out-of-network reimbursement from your treatment with me.

Group members will be expected to attend every session and new members cannot join after the second session

Meal Support Group

Mealtimes are especially difficult for individuals with eating disorders, but is one of the most important aspects of recovery. This 60-minute group meets at lunch time to help adults or adolescents suffering from eating disorders (or with anyone who struggles to eat). Participants bring their lunch to the group and eat it in the company of others who struggle with eating, as well as a trained therapist. Goals are set for each meal and at the end of the meal we process what the experience was like.

Dr. Cheri Levinson is on staff with me at the Behavioral Wellness & Louisville OCD Clinic as our eating disorders specialist. Since eating disorders tend to have an obsessive component and often people with eating disorders have OCD and/or anxiety, she has been an excellent psychologist to collaborate with. I recommend her as a therapist if you have an eating disorder of any type.
