I am passionate about working with clients who are confronting everyday stressors, adjustment to change, relationship issues, trauma, self-esteem, multicultural concerns, and LGBTQIA+ issues. My therapeutic approach includes using client-centered therapy, existential theory, psychoanalytic theory, distress tolerance, interpersonal dynamics, and mindfulness.
I have a BA in Psychology from Texas Tech University and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas in San Antonio. My career has included intake, assessment, individual & group therapy, psycheducation, and discharge planning in private practices, community health organizations, a corrections facility, and a psychiatric hospital.
