Are you overwhelmed by the stress and chaos life can bring and don't know where to start? Maybe your alcohol or drug use is negatively impacting your life. Are you wanting support for recent or past trauma? Maybe, you simply want to become a better version of yourself and want someone to help guide you. I help by providing compassionate support and tools to empower you to make positive changes in your life. I incorporate your strengths, interests, and passions to make therapy reflect the unique person you are. Previous clients have said I am down-to-earth (hence, the name!) , easy to talk to, and that they can tell I truly care.

In our first few sessions, you can expect us getting to know each other, discussing the reasons you are coming to therapy, creating goals, and exploring different treatment options to help you get the most out out our sessions. I will ask you for feedback on how our sessions are going so I can make adjustments to better fit your needs and preferences.

I know opening up to a stranger can feel awkward. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations to see if we are a good fit and answer any questions you have. If you come for in-person sessions, we can go for a walk or have a cup of coffee or tea in my office to help break the ice. Updated: 7/2/2026
