Hello! My name's Chelsea, and I offer therapeutic services in person in the F/M area and Breckenridge/Wahpeton, and on telehealth throughout MN and ND. I offer EMDR therapy for trauma and sexual abuse. I work with teen girls and adult survivors of sexual abuse and other traumas. I have experience working with PTSD, dissociation and complex trauma.
EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) sessions begin with grounding skills, learning how to feel safe in your own body, and gaining a tool box full coping skills.
As the sessions progress we will gently reprocess trauma together from a place of safety. EMDR is an evidence-based practice used to reduce or eliminate PTSD symptoms. With one foot in the past and one foot in the present, EMDR helps remove the feelings of trauma from the painful memories, and assists with rebuilding positive beliefs about yourself.
If you are experiencing symptoms of trauma including intrusive memories or thoughts, avoidance of people or places that remind you of a painful memory, and negative feelings about yourself, I would love to walk beside you and help you move forward into a place of peace and safety. You are not alone and there IS hope.
