About
I have experience with those who have suffered from past abuse and trauma, addictions, depression and anxiety. Often the presenting challenges for these clients has been around emotional control/stability, loss of joy/purpose, lack of a healthy support system and a tendency to relapse. My clients goals have often included helping them decrease anxiety levels by learning to self soothe when triggered, to utilize more positive communication skills, to set healthier boundaries, and to create a more structured schedule in their daily lives.
As your therapist, I am here to listen to the concerns you are having in your life and to help you identify negative patterns. I will share support in the goals we both create for your therapy and continue to monitor progress as your sessions continue, making note of areas you’re becoming autonomous in and areas that need more focus.
I have dealt with my own mental health problems in the past and I understand that it is a hard thing to do, to reach out for help. But I can say, that it did greatly impact and help my life for the better. I encourage anyone who is struggling with their mental health to reach out and seek the help you need.
