Social Skills Groups (For Children 6 - 15) - ZOOM
Welcome! In our friendly group, we will learn together how to interact appropriately with others our age. Miss Chelsea can help kids learn conversational, friendship and problem-solving skills! This can also be useful in teaching kids to control their emotions and understand other people’s perspectives. Social skills group is different than a traditional play-date or peer-based hangout – they are a supervised therapeutic event where the goal is to help children and adolescents gain skills in social interaction.
Age
Women's DBT Group (through Polyvagal Perspective)
We will begin our group work with the Polyvagal Theory. By adding a polyvagal perspective to group, we are helping re-pattern our nervous systems, build capacities for regulation, and create autonomic pathways of safety and connection. This process will allow us to safely move into our "window of Tolerance" or Ventral state. This lends way to learning the DBT skills that follow.

Men's Group
Often men are taught rigid masculinity. This often leads to many men feeling isolated, anxious and depressed. The very emotions they should seek help for, they stuff down and “go it alone.” Bearing their emotional pain seems a better idea than opening themselves up to the stigma of seeking therapy. The group provides a unique experience for men to engage with others and practice new skills in an environment that requires less precision. I am committed to providing a safe space free of judgment and criticism for you to explore yourself and how you relate to others.
