Your life deserves attention, compassion, and understanding. Choosing the right therapist is an important decision. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents ages 17 and older. Although I am trained to work with a variety of concerns, I specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, and negative body image. I honor each client's individuality when it comes to treatment needs. Your relationship with food and body, as well as your relationship with mental health, is nuanced, historical, and contextual.
Many of my clients say that they have struggled with their bodies their entire lives. Other clients tell me that food or shame about their bodies is constantly on their minds. Rather than give more "rules" to follow, I help clients become attuned to their own body wisdom.
I also have been extensively trained in treating anxiety and depression, and I welcome clients who are struggling with many different concerns. Clients describe me as compassionate, warm, and someone who really "gets it."
