Trauma is BIG...and small. It comes in many forms and at all stages of life. Do you sometimes have flashbacks to events that happened long ago? IFS and EMDR are unique therapy models. Unlike traditional ‘Talk Therapy’ EMDR and IFS uncover underlying causes of distress rather than simply being validated with compassion. Both EMDR and IFS achieve resolution of PTSD only via different protocol. I often use both models in the same session. Some clients prefer one specific model and many appreciate both.
