Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’re in the middle of a stressful transition whether that’s a divorce, a custody dispute, or the ripple effects those have on your family. You may be carrying a lot: grief over what’s changing, fear about your kids, frustration with a legal process that can feel impossible to navigate, or just plain exhaustion from holding everything together for everyone else. If you’re a parent, part of my work is helping you separate the emotional weight of the conflict from the decisions you need to make. Wherever you’re starting from, we’ll go at a pace that feels manageable.
My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out before you walk in. We’ll work together at your pace, focusing on what’s actually going on for you right now, not just the “right” way to way to handle things.
I bring a warm, direct approach to our work. I’ll be honest with you and meet you exactly where you are. I try to stay flexible to what you actually need each time we meet, rather than sticking rigidly to one model of therapy. Many of my clients come in feeling like their situation is too messy to explain simply, and that’s completely okay.
