My name is Charmaine Rable, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a collaborative approach to therapy in which I strive to create a safe comfortable space that encourages an authentic therapeutic relationship to develop naturally. I focus on symptom relief, improving daily functioning and quality of life. Clients that experience low self-esteem, anxiety, and job stress. interpersonal conflict, and life transitions. I am comfortable treating ADHD, Social Anxiety, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Anger Management.
I like to create a comfortable, trusting "down to earth" tone that encourages clients to engage and feel that they are a part of the therapeutic process. I meet clients where they are at and then determine the best approach that may include use of humor, education, empathic listening and skill building practices.
First we talk about their concerns and what they would like to gain from therapy. Then we process what the short term and long term goals are. I like to break goals down into realistic/doable steps. Always make sure to get my client's feedback and input through the process.
