Awareness Counseling LLC in Virginia Beach, VA. My educational background consists of a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master's in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling, both from South University, Virginia Beach. This is my second career after spending over 25 years working with the senior population as a therapeutic recreation specialist/nursing/dementia unit director. Counseling has been a deep-seated love all of her life; my philosophy is that all we need is to become self-aware and have the ability to self-reflect, and we are halfway there once we have committed to taking this journey.

My counseling experience includes working in private practice settings, group therapy (grief and loss, teen girl, employee work-life burnout support groups), and an internship at a local domestic violence shelter.

Spiritually speaking, I am truly blessed to be a blessing and remain highly motivated every day to create positive change. Outside of my career life, I find therapeutic peace in her love of plants, trips with her family, counseling for PIN ministry (homeless Population), and volunteering at church.
