About
Do regular activities feel like a struggle? Are you dissatisfied with aspects of your life, but unsure how to address it? It's common for people suffering from depression or anxiety to feel like everyday tasks are as difficult as rolling a boulder uphill without being able to necessarily pinpoint why. This can be a long-term issue or a response to recent stressors but, whatever the case for you, I'm here to help. My approach to therapy is to create an environment where you can explore the underlying beliefs which contribute to how you take care of yourself when stressed with curiosity and compassion.
We usually have good intentions when we try to cope with stressors, but sometimes the behaviors we learn can work against us. Being able to separate what you're trying to do from the actions you take and look at them objectively can be a powerful way to help yourself move forward. It allows you to choose what you want to tackle, one goal at a time.
My training is in mood disorders and trauma. I also have specialized training in systems therapy and EFT, which allow me to look at the bigger picture of my clients' environment and relationships to help them connect their individual work with all relevant aspects of their lives. If that sounds like a good fit, get in touch.
