I work with LGBTQ+ and polyamorous folks. I recognize that many of us have experienced relationship challenges, trauma, and discrimination, and that our identities play an important role in how we heal and grow. Finding a sense of who you are is never easy, but receiving invalidating messaging from the world and holding past or present wounds makes that process even more difficult. The stories we tell about ourselves, inside and outside the context of personal identities, have power over how we understand our emotions, relationships, and experiences. What might it be like to tell your story in a new way?
I hold authentic, open communication at the heart of my practice— therapy should be a place where you can try out new ways of engaging with others and yourself. I work with clients to explore self-image, personal values, and relationship dynamics through a trauma-informed lens. I am also trained in exposure and response prevention therapy for OCD.
Choosing to live on your own terms as your truest self takes determination and strength. Groups
Trans and Nonbinary Virtual Peer Support Group
Are you a trans/nonbinary adult looking to explore your identity and experiences in a community setting? This group offers the opportunity to do just that. We're offering a virtual peer group for people who want to build relationships and learn together. We'll figure out specific discussion topics during our first session, so you'll be able to make sure the group meets your needs. The group is insurance-eligible at a cost of $75/session, and we offer a sliding scale of $30-50/session for private payers. Group will run from November 8-January 17.
