I believe that when individuals enter therapy, they can learn to challenge and replace irrational thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that have kept them trapped in cycles which do not allow them to live their best lives. Through therapy individuals are free to experience change as they learn the tools to let go of what is not working for them. I am passionate about working with individuals who are committed to bettering themselves and making positive shifts in their lives. Taking time to focus on one’s self is hard work, but there is truly nothing more rewarding, and I believe everyone has the ability to change.
My approach is warm, collaborative and respectful. I help you develop the tools to cope more effectively with the challenges of life. I utilize a multi-disciplinary approach with clients, including family systems theory, cognitive behavioral theory, and person-centered therapy, among others. These theories can provide practical solutions for the present.
