Seeking mental health support can be a complex paradox. It can be exciting and scary, tough but easy, and exhausting yet energizing; no matter the paradox that exist, one thing that is certain is that it is strengthening. I am a professional who works with individuals that are discovering how they desire to show up with themselves or with others. I work with couples, families, anxiety, depression, trauma, LGBTQIA+ concerns, acculturation difficulties, and executive functioning problems.
In my work, the initial concern and the client's desire guides the modality chosen. This can range from evidence based to more traditional talk therapy methods. The modality chosen initially can always be shifted based on the need of the client. For example, we may begin with CBT and find ourselves moving towards Psychodynamic.
I believe myself to be the type of Clinical Psychologist that makes you feel at home from day one.
