After 20+ years serving in the U.S. Navy, I found my true purpose helping others work through life's toughest challenges. I've called Eastern NC home since 2011, and have had the privilege of walking alongside hundreds of active-duty service members, veterans, military families, and civilians on their healing journey. I understand the unique pressures of military life and am committed to creating a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
As an Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), I bring clinical skills and deep understanding of the human spirit to my work. I hold an M.Div. and dual M.A.'s in Pastoral Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During training, I spent a full year at Camp Lejeune's Community Counseling Program working with service members and couples.
I work with all ages (18+), from young adults to those navigating major life changes. I believe real healing happens when we look at the whole picture—thoughts, feelings, relationships, and spiritual life. I primarily use CBT to help you understand how thoughts affect feelings and actions, plus other proven methods like Solution-Focused Therapy and EMDR.
