I am entering my 53rd year in the counseling field during which time there have been significant advances in our understanding of human behavior. One thing that has not changed however, is the importance of choosing an experienced therapist if you wish to make any "changes" in your life. My approach is warm, empathetic, interactive, collaborative and is tailored to each individual. Psychotherapy is usually once weekly and may be short or long-term. Together, we can help you feel better, achieve personal growth, and the satisfying life you desire.
I have a golden retriever acting as receptionist and therapy dog. Whether working with kids or adults my golden (Shelby) seems to assist in getting the sessions off to a positive beginning. Prior to becoming licensed as a therapist 34 years ago I worked as a California Licensed Educational Psychologist, school counselor and school psychologist.
