These emotions can lead to unhealthy coping mechanisms such as drug or alcohol abuse, excessive spending, or other destructive behaviors. My approach focuses on helping clients regain control and develop healthy coping skills. I work with young adults, adults and couples, specializing in LGBTQ issues, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders, trauma, and mood disorders.
In my practice, I combine basic talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy with mindfulness exercises to help you find solutions in the present moment. Additionally, I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy for clients with a history of trauma. I have over 20 years of experience in therapy for addictions, mental health, and recovery.
My approach is straightforward and solution-focused, aimed at helping you address the difficulties you are facing.
