My personal counseling philosophy begins with the grace and courage shown when a new client allows me to journey with them during the counseling process. I have found that when modifying thoughts and emotions with self-awareness and eventually modifying behaviors, that this process will positively impact your quality of life and improve your closest relationships! I joined this profession as I feel I can authentically listen to and meet each of my clients where they are. At times, changes in self-perception, insight, and self-growth can be uncomfortable.
However, I know through my own experience that the benefits of professional counseling far outweigh the challenging aspects that can arise. Each of us has a unique story and I believe that through our therapeutic connection, I can allow space where you will feel safe to openly share resulting in personal growth and healing.
Based on your individual needs I will use different theories and methods to best meet your needs using an individualized and person-centered approach. I am comfortable working with various lifestyles and cultural differences and believe that my ability to remain accepting, respectful, and genuine are my personal strengths.
