Announcement icon Given coronavirus concerns, I am providing all services though an encrypted, HIPAA compliant teletherapy platform similar to video calling.
In over 20 years of practice, I have seen again and again how therapy helps people move from fear and disconnection to aliveness and self-acceptance. Therapy, to me, is not only about healing, but also about growth and finding fulfillment. It is about letting go of past ways of surviving and living more fully to one's potential. Ideally, therapy is a place where people can bring their full selves, without shame or judgment. I feel honored to accompany people as they take risks, open up, and make important life changes.
My practice especially focuses on depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues; developing healthier relationships; changing self-defeating behaviors; coming to terms with painful experiences; adjusting to transitions and losses; increasing vitality and sense of meaning in life; and fighting back against shame and self-criticism.
Please contact me or follow the link to my full website for more information. I offer prospective clients a complimentary, 20-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and how I can help. I look forward to hearing from you!

Charles Couchman's Groups

Group for Therapists & Therapists-in-Training

A weekly process group for therapists and therapists-in-training, including graduate students, who are interested in growth and healing and who seek deeper connections with themselves and others. The focus is on emotional reactions to others in the here-and-now. This gives members the opportunity to become more comfortable with the fullness of their emotional experience, work through past attachment traumas, deepen relationships, and live with more authenticity and vitality. Although this group is for mental health providers, it is open to others if they would be a good fit. Please contact me for more information.
