We can all be impacted by the effects of traumatic experiences. I have a great passion to help relieve the suffering that trauma can cause. I am trained and certified in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy to help clients move towards adaptive resolution of their traumatic stress . I am certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional by the International Association for Trauma Professionals. I work with clients who have experienced attachment trauma due to adverse childhood experiences which may contribute to relationship problems, self-esteem issues, anxiety, depression and difficulty coping with stress.
My speciality is in the area of complex trauma with a special focus on attachment issues. I seek to provide a therapeutic space for clients to begin to understand the effects of trauma, gain awareness of traumatic triggering and how to regulate and cope with the traumatic stress. I offer self-soothing strategies, skills and biofeedback relaxation training.
I also offer a spiritually integrated approach for those who request or want to use their spiritual faith as a source of their healing. I have received significant training and had extensive experience in pastoral counseling. My philosophy is to draw out not to pour in so that there is no imposition but only invitation to spiritual growth and encounter.
