You can thrive. We can help. Your mental health matters. Therapy requires vulnerability and the courage to do something different especially when you're hurting. If you have become overwhelmed by difficulties that make it hard for you to function, you have come to the right place. If you are an empath like me, you know that the formula for living your best life is to heal your emotions. Family and friends cannot always help you get through the challenges of life; a good therapist can. With 30+ years of experience as licensed NJ and NY psychologists, we provide a safe space for you to learn and grow.
Combining a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach, I specialize in treating a broad spectrum of individuals, couples, and groups from all backgrounds across the life span. Specialty areas include crisis intervention, anxiety, depression, cultural and systemic oppression, trauma and messy life transitions.
You are the expert. I am your guide. Take the first step. Start your journey with me. After completing my doctorate in clinical psychology at GSAPP, I completed a fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale Medical School. Following my fellowship, I worked in the Department of Epidemiology at Yale understanding help seeking behavior.

Mental Health First Aid for First Responders

We are offering mental health first aid to first responders and frontline workers at a reduced cost at our Montclair location: 460 Bloomfield Avenue. Mental health first aid is an intervention model used to facilitate psychological closure and reconstruction following exposure to a traumatic event. Goals are to stabilize, normalize, restore adaptive functioning, and identify individuals/groups who may need additional help. The goal is to intervene quickly to stop the symptoms from becoming entrenched. "It's not the stress that kills us, it's our reaction to it." (Hans Seyle)
