Hello, my name is Chan. I am currently a Temporary Mental Health Counselor working towards full licensure in Iowa. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University; I also received my master’s degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from Georgia Southern University. I have experience working with individuals, children, and families of all ages. I am extremely passionate about working with children and individuals from diverse backgrounds struggling with their mental health and wellness.
I have experience in areas of anxiety, depression, marital/ relationship problems, and other mental health struggles. Often in life, we face difficulties, and we struggle to navigate during those hard times. Seeking help does not illustrate weakness. I believe that everyone is capable of self-love, self-acceptance, and change.
We will set your goals and explore specific patterns and circumstances that affect your physical, mental, and emotional health. I take a collaborative approach to counseling, and I believe that my clients are capable of self-love, self-acceptance, and change. I look forward to being part of your therapeutic journey, and remember it is okay not to be okay.
