About
You wish your child would follow the bedtime or breakfast routine better. Your child seems unable to communicate, problem solve, reflect, or play with friends. Your child has difficulty with homework or following rules. Your child gets into trouble at school or with the kids on the block. You want your child to learn the art of communication, how to express their emotions in appropriate ways or to understand other people’s feelings. Your child needs help! You have tried everything you know including interventions. You feel frustrated and emotionally drained. You agonize about their behavior that is affecting the rest of the family.
You feel like people do not even see the strengths and joys your child has locked inside them. You want a home where your child can regulate big emotions, have friends and come home from school smiling. You want your child to feel your love, and laughter, and understand limit setting and rules. You would like life to get better and your kids to be happy.
I have helped children like yours develop the capacity for communication, managing emotions, and problem solving. I have experience with typically developing children and children who have been diagnosed with autism and other challenges. Floortime and play therapy involve fun and engaging play and help children be the best they can and experience success.
