I truly believe that all humans seek to be seen, heard, and understood. Life is hard, but no one has to do that alone. As a counselor, I hope to create a safe space where anyone can begin to acknowledge and tell their story. My humanistic approach is foundational to the counseling I provide. Depending on the client and the treatment goals, I will use a variety of theories and techniques. I wholeheartedly believe in positive psychology and love to help others see and seek their fullest potential.
A way in which I help clients see their fullest potential is by utilizing the Enneagram assessment. Research shows that self-awareness is essential to personal growth and well-being, and the Enneagram allows clients to gain quick access to their inner motivations, which ultimately drive their behaviors.
In my 15 years of practice, many clients share that within their sessions they have felt heard and understood, unafraid to share their own truths, and safe to be vulnerable through words and/or tears. My desire as your counselor is to help you become the best version of yourself, while honoring your values and re-writing your story!
