The Center for Sexual Health and Wellness is a mental heath practice with a primary goal of addressing co-existing mental and sexual health disorders. The goal of the CSHAW is to provide individuals with a supportive, evidence-based environment to treat a variety of concerns including sexual difficulties, anxiety, and trauma conditions. Individual and couples psychotherapy services available with providers who are highly trained and specialize in the co-occurrence of these concerns.
Concerns treated include desire/interest, arousal, performance, orgasm and ejaculation, satisfaction, sexual pain, sexual exploration, sexual communication, infidelity, medical co-morbidities, education, out of control sexual behaviors ("sex addiction"), gender and sexual identity, anxiety, worry, OCD, and trauma/PTSD.
Sexual functioning and sexual health are often stigmatized topics and many patients report difficulty having a safe space to address these issues. The Center for Sexual Health and Wellness allows patients to address their individual needs in a safe, supportive, and scientifically-based environment.
