I believe in the process of therapy. Safety is essential at every age. My goal is to provide a safe place for children and teens in the foster care system to process and work through trauma based issues. I also see clients in my private practice.

Trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I believe it is important to identify your counseling goals and issues and to tailor therapy to your needs. Then as we progress in therapy we can add new goals as they come up. I always want to be sure you are getting what you need in your therapy experience. It is very important to me that my clients feel that the therapy environment is safe and productive and that you feel that you are a part of the therapy process.

My goal is to help individuals to get through their emotional problems and traumatic experiences and to heal the pain they feel. I believe in a close connection of body, mind and spirit and think that counseling can very well be approached from this perspective. I have experience with individuals from many different cultures, mentalities, beliefs, religions, and behaviors. I want to help clients heal and become whole again. I want to help them prosper, move forward in life and get what they deserve.

I've worked with adolescence and families for around 25 years in a variety of settings. These settings include being a youth / children's pastor prior to starting my counseling journey. Much of my experience involves working with those that struggle with abuse, depression, relationship conflict, self harming behaviors, legal issues, and behavior problems. Although I am licensed to practice counseling through the State of Texas, I am a Christian and the fundamentals of my practice are in line with traditional Christian faith.
