PTSD SYMTOMS MAY VARY, BUT ARE VERY DISTURBING AND MAY HAVE A RANGE OF SYMPTOMS FROM FLASHBACKS OF THE TRAUMATIC EVENT(S) NIGHTMARES, GRIEF, GUILT, SHAME, ANGER, ANXIEY, SLEEP DISTURBANCES AND MANY MORE. THE SYMPTOMS IMPAIR THEIR LIFE AND CAN INTERFERE WITH RELATIONSHIPS AND/OR WORK/SCHOOL. OTHERS MAY TURN TO SELF-MEDICATING TO NUMB FEELINGS (DRUGS OR ALCOHOL).
