Hello I am John Kenner, I am a therapist and clinical social worker. I provide active behavioral counseling and therapy. My practice consists of direct clinical service including family, individual, couples, youth, adolescents , adult and elderly therapy. I use evidence based interventions, client centered therapy and life coaching. I also provide interpersonal and relationship building tools skills and techniques.

I have 11 years of experience providing individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and psychological evaluations to children, teens and young adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, ADHD and Depression. I value mindfulness techniques and am knowledgeable of a variety of therapy models, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal and Family Systems and Parent Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT).

I have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist working with issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, relationships, family issues and parenting, life skills and changes, trauma, loss / grief, as well as chronic or terminal illness. With support , encouragement, and expert insight, therapy can be the place you grow, the place you heal, or the place you learn to accept you.

While I specialize in Christian Counseling, I also work with many people who prefer not to incorporate their faith in the therapeutic process. My style tends to lean toward Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping people overcome self-defeating thought patterns. I’ve been in private practice for 20 years.
