As someone who has been in the field for 30-plus years and has practiced in both outpatient and inpatient settings, receiving my Master of Science degree and Ph.D. was the first step in my journey to helping others. My area of expertise ranges from individual therapy to doing family sculptures and having a passion for helping individuals heal with treatment for their addiction and/or mental health issues.

I help women overcome their challenges and trauma by employing faith and therapy. I also assist families needing support with their children or teens with social deficits on the autism spectrum or undergoing behavioral concerns. I also specialize in serving adults, couples, and families who are experiencing troubling times.

Welcome, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor I chose to become a therapist after serving over 30 years as a public servant. I also take pride in being a U.S Army veteran. I bring to each session a broad spectrum of life experiences in public, government & military settings. I feel that my experiences have provided me with a unique insight into the challenges that clients may face and have shaped my empathetic spirit and relatable perspective to treatment. I earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health from Governors State University.

I provide family interventions that establish emotional support, education, and guidance for a variety of concerns confronted by today's families. Examples of problems encountered by families include: family planning, adoption, parenting skills, blended family issues, step-parenting, health related problems, and problems of mental health. I am a licensed professional counselor and Registered Play Therapist (RPT) working with children and their families. I have provided support to children and families experiencing a host of needs, including providing support to children and families involved in foster care. I have worked as a school-based counselor providing insight to school administrative staff and teachers with regards to the mental health needs and overall well-being of their students. I desire and strive to continuously meet the needs of children and their families.
