I consider therapy as a journey during which one may eventually reach shores of clarity, insight, self-understanding, and transformation. As one sets sail towards the stormy waters of the emotional realm, one gradually discovers the new geographies of conflicted feeling states, ambiguous thinking patterns, and problematically repetitive behaviors in the forgotten coordinates of the inner world buoying at the intersection of the past, the present, and the future.
This place may seem too difficult to navigate alone, and one may need the presence of another to act as a facilitator. The capacities of a therapist may create a secure space where a long-lasting change may germinate to provide one with an enriched sense of well-being.
As everyone's genetic map is different so is everyone's emotional make-up. My approach rests on the exploration of one's distinct needs, desires, dreams, and areas of great concern to formulate a mutually created route for one's destination where one finds one's self more connected, more related, and more alive.
