We all experience times in our lives when what once worked for us no longer does. We may become overwhelmed, anxious, fearful, or angry and are no longer able to ignore those feelings. Instead they get in our way. Talking to someone, especially one who listens to you carefully and joins you in a collaborative and supportive process, is amazingly helpful. People with whom I work note that they begin to feel better and less alone almost immediately.
People come to me with issues concerning relationships, parenting, depression and anxiety, loss, and all of life's challenging situations and transitions. A special interest of mine is infertility and adoption, and I work with both children and adults in that regard.
The way I work is eclectic and informed by psychoanalytic training, contemporary trauma theory, and a former career as an artist. The hope is that, through our work together, you can feel more control over how you face your every day, resulting in greater clarity of options and more consistent feelings of satisfaction.
