Life can be overwhelming and intimidating. Escalating anxiety or tensions may jumble your thoughts, impacting your judgment and self-esteem. Communicating your emotions and needs then becomes a struggle, affecting your relationships, family, or work. We all need support at times, whether it's dealing with day-to-day challenges, past events, or even the current sociopolitical climate. Asking for help for yourself or as a couple is a daunting task, my goal is to help you feel comfortable and safe during this process.
Choosing to participate in therapy is a huge step. It means you are willing to work on making life better. With over 25 years mental health experience, I work with adults, couples, older adolescents, and families. My specialties include anxiety, adjustment issues, trauma, couple counseling, family dynamics, and individual empowerment.
I use creativity and humor whenever possible, therapy should enrich you. Licensed in NE & IA. I also volunteer with the NE CISM team for first responders and taught as an adjunct professor at Bellevue University. Political Anxiety Therapy/Support Group (NE & IA)
The country has experienced significant political upheaval in the past decade, triggering concerns about human rights restrictions and increased polarization between communities, neighbors, and even family members. Locally or nationally, the rippling effects on legislative and personal levels can be overwhelming. This is a 10 week online group for adults in NE & IA to seek assistance, provide psychoeducation, therapeutic guidance, understanding, and support in a safe and respectful environment.
