All clients have the potential for change. I work to empower clients to recognize that, and to assist them with taking control of their own narrative. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from Central Michigan University and my Master of Social Work from Michigan State University. I have experience working with clients ages 18 and up. My therapeutic experience includes positions as a medical social worker in a long-term care setting. I helped my residents achieve and maintain emotional and mental well-being.
During my career, I have helped clients navigate a variety of challenges including anxiety, ADHD, depression, grief, mood disorders, stress management, and more. In therapy, I build rapport with my clients by asking open-ended questions and finding common ground.
My sessions are a safe, open and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable opening up about the challenges they are facing. I use therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused techniques, mindfulness, motivational and supportive therapies.
