I work to create a holding space making it possible for clients to access their own thoughts, ideas, and develop personal goals. My work primarily focuses on accompanying individuals on their journey to address trauma in their lives, challenging relationship dynamics, developing a new vision for life, and cultivating a way forward when resistance greets us. Addiction and trauma are closely related, and developing meaningful ways to address the needs for self-comfort and self-awareness instead of destructive patterns of behavior is key to our holistic health.
Working with somatic messages where our body directly communicates information, creating a greater understanding of integration of self, resisting the urge to compartmentalize or dissociate, and deciding on staying within yourself is the work of energy psychology and supportive interventions.
Having the great trust of clients to work towards greater self-worth, employing self-determination, and cultivating appropriate trust in self while remaining connected to the ones we love and our communities is a challenge we all face daily.
