About
I enjoy helping children, teens, adults, couples, families, and groups use art (and/or traditional talk therapy) to identify their emotions, explore sources of internal/external conflict, and introduce healthier coping strategies into their everyday lives. I tend to approach therapy with Gestaltist and existentialist principles in order to help clients identify points where they feel "stuck," practice accountability, incorporate exercises and techniques to become "unstuck," and ultimately improve their relationship with the "here and now." I also work under a trauma-informed model.
I specialize in art therapy, which means I bring in art materials to use for experientials or art directives that can help you explore emotions and difficult topics in a safe, alternative way. This can be especially helpful for those who struggle with expressing or articulating their feelings out loud.
Do you feel like you probably need therapy but have no idea how to begin? I am here to help. And I have art supplies.
