My name is Cecilia Kerr, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, California, working with clients via telehealth. I have experience working with adults and older adults with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as young children and teens in the foster care system.
My approach in the therapeutic setting varies based on the needs of each client; I acknowledge every client is different. I frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused therapy. These two modalities help me and the client to build a strong rapport, understanding of their life, and allow opportunities for growth.
My way of communicating is very calm, safe, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable when communicating with me about different areas of their life that may be challenging. I focus on building a safe and judgment-free zone.
