I am a therapist in training under the supervision of Dr. Rick Ertell, LPC-S, EdD. I want to help people find value in who they are, and not on what they do. We tend to put so much value on our profession, that we often forget who we area outside that circle that defines our sole identity. We work so hard to be better at what we do, and neglect improving our human nature. I want to hep people find their worth, through the exploration of values, and beliefs. To do this, we might have to explore the past, and find the root of the person's current behavior. It might feel scary, but we travel at the speed you need. This is a safe space.
I have been a professional in the music field for over 20 years. Some years ago, I decided to add counseling in my life, after seeing so many people putting their worth on the job they did, and not on who they were as person. COVID took so much of our work, and with that, our identities seemed to disappear.
Nowadays, we crave acceptance, praise, and attention, and anxiety, stress, and depression creep in our daily lives. In our work together, it is my hope you find yourself, your values, your beliefs, and your worth to live a life of quality, where you know you are enough.
