I work mostly from a cognitive behavioral theory. I believe we can change our thoughts and the emotions that come along with them, therefore changing the behaviors associated with these negative thoughts and emotions. I also use solution focused therapy, sand tray work and play therapy in individual cases.
I always work from a relational point of view. None of us live in a bubble. Grief and loss, addictions and their effects on families, as well as women's issues and child focused play therapy are some of the things I particularly have a heart for.
