Not accepting new clients
Hello, My name is Dr. Cecelia VanOver. My practice is strictly telehealth. This means that I will provide an internet link that will allow you access to the platform that I utilize for therapy. This platform allows clients to book their own appointments, send secure messages, pay by charge account, and receive therapy. The platform is secure, HIPAA compliant which stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. HIPAA compliance means that the national standards are being used to protect medical records and other personal health records. This is important, especially when a provider is using a telehealth practice.
I will start each session with a question about the environment that the client is occupying. It is important that the client is in a comfortable, quiet, and has a confidential surrounding. My Cognitive-Behavioral approach to therapy allows for an understanding of the client’s belief to a situation which is producing the emotion.
I use a Person-Centered approach. This is where the client and I develop a therapeutic relationship that is based a trust, non-judgmental, empathy, active listening, and reflection. Basically, this approach can be considered talk therapy. After we complete the mental health assessment and treatment plan, we begin therapy. What would you like to change??
