I work with clients and couples experiencing OCD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and those have been impacted by traumatic events. I also enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families through major life changes, faith transitions, and the impacts of grief and loss. As a former firefighter and the partner of a full-time firefighter, I understand the demands of first responder careers, including how careers can impact relationships, and I am passionate about helping couples connect amid challenging life circumstances.
My approach to counseling is client-specific, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and specific techniques like EMDR and ERP when applicable. I work with clients to identify and live according to their personal values and help them manage distress with coping skills along the way.
