In my approach I aim to look with you both internally and externally to find moments of reflection, validation, empowerment, and clarity. I use a warm, relational approach to my work and most importantly I strive to uphold anti-racist, liberatory, and LGBTQIA+ affirming scaffolding in my practice. I am always learning more in these respects.
Therapy should feel collaborative, and should be a place where communication is transparent and your experience is centered. Clients I work best with are looking to be seen authentically for who they are and are seeking to understand how their past may inform their current reality.
I primarily work in a mix of psychodynamic, person-centered, relational, and Mindful Self-Compassion theories. Other strategies may be included in our work if deemed appropriate for your individual needs. I aim to assist you in confronting discomfort, challenging unhelpful patterns, and upholding your strengths.
Therapy can be many things and is different for each person. Whether you are new to therapy or returning, my hope is to meet you where you’re at, explore what may feel stuck or painful, and support you in living a life aligned with what is most important to you.
