As a therapist, I take a relationship-based, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed approach. I am currently undergoing training in trauma work (EMDR) and addiction work (LAC) that I can incorporate into therapy as appropriate. I trust that you’re the expert on your own life, and I aim to support you in examining how your past experiences have shaped you, and using that knowledge to make positive changes moving forward.
Difficult things happen in our lives, but we can control how we process and respond to them. My goal is to work with you to deepen your emotional awareness, build and reinforce healthy coping skills, and explore what you want for your life and how to get there.
In previous lives I worked in global development and experiential/outdoor education, all of which inform my approach with clients. My undergraduate and MPH degrees were completed at Boston University, and I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Montana State University. In my free time I do a lot of mountain biking and crossword puzzles.
