The goal of EMDR therapy is to process completely the experiences that are causing problems and store them with appropriate emotions in the brain, and to include new ones that are needed to guide you in positive ways in the future.The inappropriate emotions, beliefs, and body sensations will be discarded. Leaving you with the emotions, understanding, and perspectives that lead to healthy and useful behavior.
After working with adolescents for the past 21 years, I have had the opportunity to work with specialties including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, addictions, mood and personality disorders, suicidal ideation, OCD and PTSD and relationship issues.
