In my part time private practice I offer counseling/therapy to adults, children, adolescents, and parents. My areas of special interest include anxiety, depression, and parent education. I enjoy working with adults who are dealing with life challenges, loss, and seeking personal growth. When seeing children or adolescents, I typically use a child centered approach with the opportunity for play therapy. I also have experience with CBT, EFT, and mindfulness. These techniques are helpful in treating individuals who are experiencing anxiety, regulation of attention and impulse control, and trauma.
I am a Licensed Psychological Associate and a Licensed School Psychologist. I have 35+ years of experience providing counseling support. I have been employed in a variety of mental health and educational settings (early intervention, parent education, therapy with school aged children, counseling with adults, and employment as a school psychologist).
Seeking therapy/counseling can be a financial challenge for individuals and families. Currently I am an in network provider with the majority of Blue Cross and Blue Shield insurance companies. For clients who are not insured with BCBS, I recognize the need to negotiate reasonable cash fees that can hopefully facilitate participation in counseling.
